Goodwill's Community Experience Program, sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services, provides the opportunity for community-based activities and individual choice for individuals with severe disabilities who previously had limited involvement in the community. The program is designed to provide a variety of activities to enrich the lives of each participant. In-house activities include arts and crafts, cooking, music, exercise, daily living skills, educational computer games, leisure time activities and pre-vocational experience.

Community experiences include shopping, visits to restaurants, museums and parks, as well as bowling and involvement in a community outreach program.
