Goodwill is the go-to store for economical back-to-school shopping for all ages from pre-school to college. In this economy, people on tight budgets are turning to Goodwill stores to get more for their money.
Shoppers are often surprised by the range and quality of merchandise at Goodwill. There’s clothing for the entire family, accessories, small appliances, household items, furniture, books and sports equipment. Many customers enjoy finding designer items for a fraction of the price they would pay in department stores. There are new items mixed in with the used and plenty of bargains to be found.
Today’s Goodwill stores are large and well organized. Shoppers enjoy a customer-friendly environment and great values. Prices for children’s clothing generally range from $4 for shirts and pants to $10 or $12 for a coat. College students can find great buys on jeans and big bargains on items to furnish their dorm room or apartment.
Goodwill Industries is a non-profit provider of vocational services for individuals with disabilities. Goodwill retail stores provide training, employment and career advancement opportunities. Revenues generated are reinvested into programs that put people to work in the community, helping them achieve independence and dignity.
